We came for a night and stayed nine. We love this campground! We stayed here at the end of September. The campground wasn't busy during the weekdays but it was packed on the weekend nights. You are right at the beach. It was after Labor Day so we could let our dog free to play and enjoy the water. The facilities are a little old. But the staff keeps every thing very clean. The showers were nice and hot with decent water pressure. Across the street are great hiking & biking trails. And you are con ineptly located to plenty of restaurants and things to do. Their system is a little different from a reservation/site assignment. You actually only reserve a type of site, based on size, in a particular loop. Not an exact site. So we paid our first night, found a spot and went scoping out open sites in other loops to see if we wanted to move the next day. We did and it worked out perfectly. We will definitely be back!

Nice park with good sized lots. I love this place because the beach is clean and not crowded. I like that its very close to VA beach and it's very close to restaurants. Good for crab fishing and tubing. It's beautiful in the evening when the sun is setting. I Recommend this park! :)

We go to this park every year. It has everything you could want in a park! It's calm and peaceful and right by the beach. You can go fishing or swimming at the shore. The roads are nice for biking and there is a bath house with bathrooms and showers.

Discovery - VA

In 1607, English ships arrived at the shoreline of what is now First Landing State Park before establishing Jamestown. Visit there and enjoy a fascinating look at the history of these travelers and visit the Native American village to learn more about those who were here first.
