Fun place, but think some improvements could be made. The lodge appears to be old, but it is just old looking. The rooms are just ok, as the beds sink in...

Beautiful view from every room. We just saw a doe walking not even 10 feet from our patio...almost domesticated, wasn't bothered at all by us sitting there watching her.

Geocache - OH

Got GPS? Caches are stashed in dozens of parks, from Alum Creek to West Branch, and the lodges at Burr Oak, Deer Creek, Hueston Woods and Mohican, Salt Fork and Shawnee offer special overnight packages with geocaching. Hueston Woods is studded with caches, and is holding a geocaching day in August to get you started. See geocaching.com for cache details.

Boating - OH

Want to power it up? Rent a ski boat at Alum Creek, Deer Creek, Rocky Fork, Salt Fork, or West Branch. Take Lake Erie full throttle on a rented jet ski at Maumee Bay or South Bass Island. Remember to follow all boating regulations and safety procedures.
