Check out the buzz on this park from all over the social media universe.
Great place for R and R. Nice camping spots. Peaceful. Cooking and swimming area. If u fish. U have a plethora of holes to choose from.
Went here on a really dreary day and no one was around. The whole atmosphere was kind of depressing...an old rusting children's park, empty trailer...
Beautiful park with lots of hiking and biking trails next to a beautiful lake. Full hookups and good Wifi and cable. Can't beat that! Sites back up to lake...
HSUS takes the money that is sent in for the care of puppies and kittens and uses it for lobbying and for other purposes then what it is intended for. Here is a link where they are buying as much land as they can with the donations to stop people from hunting and fishing. I also have a link where they want to inject the deer and other wildlife with birth control to stop them from reproducing. http://www.huntersagainstpeta.com/tag/hsus-buying-up-land

A man in our hunting camp harvested a deer last Friday. While we were cleaning the deer, 8-10 live maggots came out of the bottom of its head after we decapitated it. The esophagus was clear. I did some research which leads me to believe it may be the Deer Botfly. We hunt in northeast Escambia County. Any thoughts, and should this be a concern? Thanks.

The State Lands Division and the Alabama Conservation and Natural Resources Foundation sponsored a Beyond BOW Deer Hunt January 5. Three deer were harvested by Harriet Hyde, Kristen Bakkegard and Lauren Robbins. The hunt was held at the M. Barnett Lawley Field Trial Area, formerly the State Cattle Ranch, which is a Forever Wild property. Thanks to all the guides and organizers who made this event possible!

Good news for South Alabama duck hunters.
Tuesday's mid-winter survey of waterfowl on the lower Mobile-Tensaw Delta and upper Mobile Bay counted more ducks than in at least the past six years.

Via the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division FB page. "An extension of Alabama’s deer season is a controversial issue among deer hunters in our state. The topic has been before the Conservation Advisory Board on many occasions and recently made its way before Alabama’s legislature. This document was created by Commissiner Guy to provide some information on the pros and cons of this issue, nothing more. This does not express a position or conclusion on the issues of a deer season extension, but serves as a document to inform and educate decision makers and those not familiar with the issues surrounding an extended deer season."
