Coca-Cola Enterprises
Bottling Companies
The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of California, with headquarters in San Ramon,
and the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Southern California, with headquarters
in Los Angeles, are local bottlers focused on successfully integrating sustainability
into every aspect of our operations: business, communities and environment. We
aim to minimize the environmental footprint of our business. To do so, we focus
on three areas: energy conservation/climate change, water stewardship and sustainable
packaging/recycling.
We are working to reduce carbon emissions in our manufacturing, fleet, sales
and marketing equipment, and facilities. We have hybrid electric delivery trucks
on the road, three of our facilities have solar power, and we've installed energy-
efficient lighting in our facilities saving millions of kilowatt hours per year.
We're building the first-ever Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design-certified
(LEED) facility in the Coca-Cola System in Coachella. In our production facilities,
we’ve installed water saving equipment, are committed to reducing our plant
water usage ratio by ten percent by 2010, and work to help protect watersheds
where we operate. We are working to maximize our use of renewable, reusable and
recyclable resources. We also are partnering with The Coca-Cola Company in offering
an expanded range of beverages and package sizes and urging Californians to "Live
Positively!"
We’re proud to be working in partnership with the California State Parks
Foundation and California State Parks on the “Reforest California” campaign
and Earth Day volunteer events.

Collective
Wellbeing
Collective Wellbeing makes innovative, safe and effective beauty
products that work as promised. Our purpose is to enhance
your wellbeing and to improve the world we live in. We
believe that an enterprise has a greater responsibility to its
community than turning a profit. We strive to constantly reduce
the impact of our operations by reducing our consumption of energy
and raw materials, recycling and reusing materials whenever possible.
Collective Wellbeing is carbon-neutral enterprise. That means
we determine the total carbon and greenhouse gases generated
by our energy use, including energy consumed by employee travel
and by deliveries of our products to retailers and consumers. We
then purchase energy or offset credits from alternative energy
suppliers like wind farms and solar energy generators. By doing
so, we eliminate our carbon footprint.
Every year, Collective Wellbeing donates at least 1% of its revenues
to environmental non-profits. We are proud to be the first beauty
company to make this pledge.
We’re proud to be supporting 20% for the Parks to help
protect one of our great natural resources—our country's
many state parks.

Dasani
To
create DASANI®, Coca-Cola bottlers start with the local
water supply, which is then filtered for purity using a state-of-the-art
process called reverse osmosis. The purified water is then enhanced
with a special blend of minerals for a pure, crisp, fresh taste.
Our company is working towards a goal to return to communities
and nature an amount of water equivalent to what we use in all
of our beverages and their production. This means reducing the
amount of water used to produce our beverages, recycling water
used for manufacturing processes so it can be returned safely
to the environment, and replenishing water in communities and
nature through locally relevant projects. This aspirational goal
will be a multi-year journey for our entire system, but is a
journey we have begun and will continue to pursue. Together with
our bottlers, we hope to establish a water-sustainable business
on a global scale.

Travelocity
In response to concerns about global climate change and the
impact
of travel on carbon emissions, Travelocity pioneered a
way
to help. Travelers now have the option to purchase "carbon
offsets" when booking on Travelocity, the first major
online travel agency to take this step. When you book on
Travelocity, you can make a contribution to The Conservation
Fund's Go Zero program which will negate the carbon emissions
created by your trip by planting a native tree. Trees planted
on protected lands aid in the fight against climate change,
promote the restoration of wildlife habitats, improve water
and air quality, and enhance outdoor recreation areas,
leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
